Professor Jean-Francois Dufour received his degree in mathematics and MD from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. After training at Tufts University and New England Medical Center in Boston, he was clinic director and head for Hepatology at the University Hospital in Bern, Switzerland. AGA and AASLD fellow, founding member of the ILCA, twice EASL governing board member and past-member of the UEG educational committee. He is an AE of GUT, was an AE of Hepatology (‘Highlights’), Journal of Hepatology and Liver International. He is president of the Swiss Foundation against Liver Cancer and of the Swiss NASH Foundation.
