The GRADE trial: Results in perspective

Rosângela Réa graduated from the Federal University of Parana in Curitiba with a medical degree in Basic and Clinical Sciences in 1982. She continued her postgraduate education in a number of institutes, finishing at the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism. Professor Rea has a Masters Degree in Internal Medicine and has served as a Member of the Harvard–Joslin–SBD Program Executive Committee. She is currently Chief of the Diabetes Unit, Division of Endocrinology at the Federal University of Paraná, Curitiba and has been elected as Vice President of the Brazilian Diabetes Society in 2018–2019. Professor Rea is a local Principal Investigator in clinical research, involved in more than 30 clinical trials concerning diabetes, mostly phase III but also phase IV and epidemiologic studies, some of which are still ongoing.
